Description
This piece was completed for the Enchanted Artists 2nd Annual art show, whose theme was the Arthurian legend. I kept waffling about what to paint, so I eventually decided on Guinivere with Excaliber. To me, it was these two things that kept warring for Arthur's affection; he could not be the husband Guinivere wanted him to be and still be king and law of the land, and he could not be the wielder of Excaliber as he was meant to be and still be just a husband to Guinivere. He loved them both, but his destiny lay with only one.

Nice work, Stacey.
I love the stained-glass background and the way that you have "flattened" the color in contrast to the way that you have used the blended color on the figure. The hair, as always, looks great! Lots of depth in the locks.
Everything else looks good, also. My only suggestion would be to put a final highlight on pommel gem, along the lines of the gem on her crown. Just a single "dot" of white would help to "pop" the sword, and as it is the closest thing to the viewer, would help to give it a little more depth, as well as bring attention to the face.
Other than than, keep up the great work!! Oh, and submit more often. Your fans need their regular fix, ya know...
